A 20-year-old man on the Big Island died after falling off a cliff along the Puna coastline on Monday. According to police, officers were called to an area known as "Sand Hill" around 2:45 p.m. While riding his dirt-bike with a group of friends police report Duane Correa went over a cliff. This is video of the area the Hawaii County Fire Department "airlifted" the man and pronounced him dead at scene. "Probably about a 40 maybe 50-feet down towards the ocean, landed on top of a rocky shelf. A bystander rushed to see what was going on and the ground gave way and the second patient fell down this cliff," Battalion Chief Matthias Kusch of the Hawaii Fire Department said. The fire department also reports Correa's 18-year-old brother Delton was airlifted to Hilo Medical Center he sustained non-life threatening injuries trying to rescue his older brother. Firefighters returned to the site to retrieve Correa's bike on Monday night.
