Three teenagers taken to hospital after a car they were in hit a pole then drove into the ocean at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor

Three teenagers were taken to the hospital after a car they were all in crashed into a pole, then drove into the ocean. All three teenagers are male, two were 16-years-old, one is 17. The 17-year-old is in serious condition, the two 16-year-olds are in stable condition. According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services, at around 8:26 p.m. Monday April 1, a car with the three boys crashed into a pole before plunging into the ocean. This happened at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor and Honolulu EMS quickly responded. All three boys were safely on shore by the time EMS arrived on scene. The boys were treated on scene, and then all taken to the hospital. The cause of the accident remains under investigation. Hawaii Electric Light Company says this crash knocked out power to nearly a thousand customers.
