According to Honolulu Emergency Services, a 12-year-old boy is in critical condition Thursday afternoon following a crash in Ewa.
The incident is said to have taken place at the intersection of Keoneula Blvd. and Kapolei Pwy.
According to Honolulu police, a 40-year-old female motorist was traveling eastbound on Keoneula Boulevard.
As she entered the intersection of Keoneula Boulevard and Kapolei Parkway, with the right of way, she collided with the 12-year-old boy who was traveling southbound on Kapolei Parkway in a marked crosswalk with the side of her car.
Police said he disregarded the displayed “Do Not Walk” signal.
The 12-year-old sustained injures to his head and body as a result of the crash and was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.
