A man and a toddler are in serious condition after crashing while riding a moped on Keahumoa Parkway in Ewa Beach. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. in the 91-1100 block of Keahumoa Parkway. According to Honolulu Emergency Medical Services (EMS), the man -- said to be in his 20s or 30s -- and a 3-year-old boy were riding on the moped together when they lost control and hit a curb. Both the man and toddler were ejected, suffering serious injuries. They were both taken to an area emergency room, EMS said. Authorities have not identified the man or the child. Their relationship to one another has not been released.
