VIDEO: Tyler Smith credits his dad for two big things: his nickname and his occupation. "When I'm mad at him, I call him Tyler," Lisbon fire chief Brandon Siggins says, "but day to day, it's Bubba." "I'd rather go by Bubba than my real name anyways," Tyler says. "(Dad) used to watch a couple shows. One of the guys' names was Bubba and he thought it's a cool thing to do." As a kid, Tyler thought his dad's job was the cool thing. Mark Smith served as a volunteer with the Lisbon Fire Department for 33 years. "Whenever that pager went off, I always wanted to know what was going on," he says. "(I) was just very intrigued with the trucks, the lights, the atmosphere of the guys down at the station." "(Tyler) just lives and breathes this stuff," Chief Siggins adds." He puts in so much time into everything he does. He wants to be a really good firefighter. I know he wants to be a career firefighter."
