The Clinton County Development Association has awarded $327,500 in fall grants to 14 organizations.
The association on Wednesday passed a motion to approve the recommended grants in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $72,000.
The top grant of $72,000 was awarded to the Delmar Volunteer Fire Department for a rescue truck replacement, and the City of Wheatland Fire Department will receive $51,600 for a new response vehicle.
The financial assistance that was earmarked for area firefighting and Emergency Medical Services groups didn’t stop there.
Wheatland Emergency Medical Services was granted $16,345 for ambulance-based equipment. The Low Moor Volunteer Fire Department will receive $12,431 for emergency rescue equipment. Charlotte Firefighters Association will receive $2,758 that will go toward the cost of Rescue Jacks.
