VIDEO: The Creston Fire Department confirmed there was an explosion that resulted in a fire at an apartment building. Firefighters were called to 122 Manor Drive at about 9 a.m. Friday. Authorities confirmed that there are no fatalities, but three people were injured. Two of the injured were taken by air to a local hospital. The Creston Fire Department's working theory was that an individual living in the apartment was on oxygen and smoking at the time. Firefighters spoke with KCCI about helping residents evacuate through exits and windows. "As I pulled in I could see a lady standing in the window on the second story," said Fire Chief Todd Jackson. "I approached that window and the sheriff and chief deputy also approached at that time. She was concerned about her dog first. It's large, about 100-pound dog that she was concerned about. We had her throw the dog out the window first and then we had her jump out the window and we tried to slow her decent down."
