Emergency responders could be seen around Sioux City’s Riverside Park Monday night working to get a worker down from a cell tower. Crews could be seen operating rescue equipment at a cell tower near Riverside Park. During which, they worked to get a man down from the tower. First responders say the call came in from the worker’s site manager. Sioux City’s tactical rescue team used something called a “high angle rope rescue” to get the victim down. According to Sioux City Fire Rescue, the man was working on the tower and somehow got injured. It is not known what caused his injury. The worker was taken to a local hospital and his current condition is not being released at this time.
