More than 100 acres burned in Woodbury County’s second large grass fire in 2 days

Multiple fire departments from around Woodbury County have been called to battle a grass fire. This is the second large grass fire in Woodbury County in two days. Officials responded to the grass fire that sprung up in the area of 220th and Lee just east of Anthon. Fire officials told KCAU 9 that it’s estimated that more than 100 acres were burned up in the fire. The fire spanned from 220th and Lee and blew to 230th and Lucas. Our crew at the scene said no homes appear to have been damaged in the fire. The fire appears to have been extinguished and officials are now monitoring for hot spots.
