An abandoned eyesore of a home burned to the ground early Sunday. Boone County District 2 firefighters responded shortly before 2 a.m. to a house fire at 3070 Bloods Point Road. The cause and origin of the fire was not available. The property has attracted vandals and graffiti over the years and was the subject of a Register Star story that appeared in Sunday’s paper. Sheriff Dave Ernest told the Register Star that deputies were at the house three times this year on reports of suspicious activity.
