A plan signed in October that paved the way for a shuttered South Side school to be turned into a police and fire training facility is likely to stall in City Council. South Shore High School was closed in 2014. On Oct. 22, the Board of Education leased the building to the city for use as a training facility by the police and fire departments, according to city records.
