Two people were able to safely escape a house fire Sunday morning, thanks to a true act of heorism.
The Logan Trivoli Fire Department responded to an involved structure fire at 14025 W Smithville Road in Hanna City around 8:30 a.m.
Two people were inside the home at the time of the fire.
Assistant Chief Chris Matzke said that dispatch informed them that one person in the house was wheelchair bound.
That person was pulled out of a bedroom window by a bystander. The other person was able to get out through the front door. "The fire seems to have started in the garage area, and continued across the attic area of the house," Matzke said.
At this time, firefighters are not sure what exactly caused the fire, but officials on the scene are appreciative for bystanders help.
