Kokomo’s Mayor-Elect Tyler Moore announced today KFD Captain Chris Frazier will serve as Fire Chief in the Moore administration. Captain Frazier is a 20-year veteran firefighter, joining KFD in 1999. Since 2007 he has held the rank of captain, responsible for managing daily crew operations, coordinating training, and exercising initial and ongoing fire scene command and operations. Frazier served as President of Firefighters Local 396 from 2015 to November 2019.
Moore stressed that once again he had sought and received input from his advisory committee and the firefighting community and had interviewed everyone expressing an interest in the position.
