A west Topeka medical clinic was evacuated shortly after noon on Thursday after a fire alarm sounded and haze was reported inside the building. No injuries or damage was being reported early Monday afternoon as crews investigated what caused the haze to develop inside the Kansas Medical Clinic, 2200 S.W 6th Ave. A couple of firefighters could be seen investigating the incident on the rooftop of the one-story building at S.W. 6th and Franklin. A Topeka fire official said the cause of the haze remained under investigation but that nothing substantial had been found after crews had been at the scene for around 15 minutes. Those inside the building were evacuated as crews investigated the incident. Several fire trucks were parked outside the building, including one on S.W. 6th Avenue.
