Wichita firefighters helped make a little boy's birthday wish come true.
A little boy, Eli, has been counting down to his fourth birthday party. His big request? That real firefighters come to his birthday.
Last week, Eli and his brother took an invitation to a Wichita fire station.
" I was so doubtful," Eli's mom, Micah Pederson tells KAKE News. "Every time Eli asked about the firefighters coming, I told him they probably wouldn’t be able to."
Then, on his big day, the family was in for a treat. A fire truck came honking down their street for Eli's big day.
"Not only did they show our family all their tools and the ins and outs of their truck, but they stayed for quite some time chatting, eating cake and making the fears of emergency personnel for our littles who have special needs melt away," Pederson said.
