Crews rescued one person from a house fire on SW Belle Ave. in Topeka, Kan.
According to the Topeka Fire Department, just after 4 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, crews responded to a reported house fire at 2600 SW Belle Ave.
Topeka Fire Department said upon arrival, crews found smoke and flames coming from the rear of the residence. Firefighters performed a primary search and located an occupant, who they rescued from the house. No injuries were reported from the incident. Crews extinguished the fire and kept it contained to the structure where it originated.
A Topeka Fire Department Investigation Unit responded to determine the origin and cause of the fire.
Topeka Fire Department officials said the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental due to an electrical issue.
