A fire broke out Saturday morning in a Frankfort subdivision and killed one person.
Frankfort police say the fire started around ten in the morning on Keeneland Court in the Silver Lakes subdivision.
The house is destroyed and police say there was damage to neighboring homes.
According to police, a body was found in the home.
The body hasn’t been identified yet, but people living nearby say they know who it is and they feel like they’ve lost a special member of the neighborhood.
“Everybody knows everybody else and we take care of each other so it was a very sad scene,” said John Sammon, Neighbor.
Sammons says people in the neighborhood have come together to pray for the lost neighbor.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the fire.
