Masonville firefighters are asking for the public’s help with information relating to a rash of fires in the Pleasant Ridge area that appear to have been intentionally set. Masonville Fire Department is working with investigators from the Kentucky State Police and Daviess County Sheriff’s Office to find the those responsible. Two of the three fires have been deemed arson. Three Masonville engines responded to a home fire in the 3900 block of Kentucky 764 in Pleasant Ridge at approximately 12:44 p.m. Saturday — the third call to the area in recent days for a fire believed intentionally set. MFD said the homeowners had extinguished the blaze before firefighters arrived. On Friday, an MFD unit spotted heavy smoke shortly before 2 p.m. in the Pleasant Ridge area and discovered a house on fire in the 10000 block of U.S. 231 near Crane Pond Road.
