Madisonville Fire Department Station 4 crews provided mutual aid in Hanson Wednesday afternoon.
According to an MFD report, Hanson Volunteer Fire Department requested assistance to extinguish a metal garage fire at 230 Mill St.
MFD crews arrived on scene at 1 p.m., where HFD firefighters were already battling the blaze. According to scanner traffic, there were sounds of ammunition exploding in the building.
Once the fire was under control, Hanson Fire Command released Madisonville crews, MFD reported.
