Two homes in Maysville’s west end were destroyed by fire early Thursday.
According to Maysville Fire Department Lt. Bryan White, firefighters were called to the scene of the fire in the 300 block of West Third Street just after midnight.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they discovered that the fire had already spread to an adjacent house, White said. The two structures were about 10 feet apart, he said.
Neither house was occupied and one of them had been condemned by the city prior to the fire, White said. Only one house had electrical service, he said.
White said he was unaware of who owned the houses.
Firefighters remained on the scene for about 3.5 hours, White said. No one injured by the blaze, he said.
Both houses were a total loss, according to White.
