Chris Winstead, EMT-P, Director of Henderson and Union County Emergency Medical Services, recently received the western Kentucky Director of the Year Award from Kentucky Ambulance Providers Association. Winstead was nominated for the award by EMS directors throughout Regions 1, 2 and 3, which was presented to him at KAPA’s annual conference in Lexington.
The award recognizes two directors each year, one from western Kentucky, the other from eastern Kentucky, who stand out above the rest and work hard for their communities to have quality service for their citizens, Methodist Health reported.
“This award comes back as a reflection on our EMS services at both Henderson and Union Counties,” said Winstead. Noting there are about 44 members of the team at both locations.
