The chief of the Henderson Fire Department issued a statement Wednesday, saying the cause of the Weaverton Apartments fire has been ruled undetermined and unintentional.
The historic building at 1124 Atkinson St., which was built in 1931 as Weaverton Schoool, burned in the early morning hours of Saturday, Oct. 26.
No one was hurt, but the building was gutted and fire officials say it will have to be torn down.
"The cause of the fire is being ruled as Unintentional and Undetermined," HFD Chief Scott Foreman said in a statement from the City of Henderson. "The Henderson Fire Department Investigator assisted a third-party fire investigator with origin and cause."
