Wilder to Break Ground on New $4.2 Million Fire Station

The City of Wilder is hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for its new fire station. The ceremony on Sunday, Septmeber 8, at 1 p.m., is open to the public. It will take place at 522 Licking Pike next to the city building. "The groundbreaking of a new fire station represents not only the start of a much-needed facilities upgrade for our first responders but signals the start of a renaissance of the city center area of Wilder: I am grateful to all involved for their efforts in shepherding this project to this point in the process and look forward to watching these efforts through to completion," said Mayor Bob Arnold. The new fire station is designed by McGill Smith Punshon Design and will be 14,000-square feet. The $4.2 million project will be managed by Codell Construction.
