Members of the Robards Community Fire Department hosted a dedication ceremony today in a new building and the addition of a ladder truck.
Fire Chief David Denton started the event by thanking donors and companies that provided time, material and services for the 4,300-square-foot building addition to house equipment.
Special guest speakers included Jeff Hesley of Robards Baptist Church and Rick Nollmann of Robards Methodist Church, who blessed and dedicated the building and truck.
Robards Mayor David Sellers said, “One of the main things we want to establish as city commission is the safety of our citizens, and we do that with the help of our volunteer firefighters and this fire department.”
