An elderly woman died Tuesday from injuries suffered in a house fire in Anderson County, according to The Anderson News.
Firefighters told the newspaper the fire started in the kitchen of a home on Court Street. Rescue crews say they pulled 98-year old Virginia Wiley from the home, but she was unresponsive, according to the report,
She was rushed to a hospital in Frankfort where she was pronounced dead, according to the Franklin County coroner.
No one else was injured in the fire, according to the report.
The cause is under investigation.
