"Police and ambulance, they come in here to say they need to get out, so they got out and went and helped the other people. The kitchen guy, cook, he went and got in his truck and went in the Texaco and he went over there, Exxon and he went and helped with the other, all the rest of the people getting them out with his truck," said Chresten Lebos, manager of El Jarrito Mexican Grill. "We had a lot of volunteers it became a community effort. And the fire chief and the police department, they stepped up big time," said Millican. El Jarrito reopened Sunday morning. The manager said they're lucky they didn't get a lot of damage. Millican said, they are prepared for the threat of more storms Wednesday.
If you're in need of sandbags call the town hall, they will deliver.
Millican says the town has been working with the state to get a grant to help fix flooding issues on Hazel Street.
