The T.M. Landry College Preparatory School has submitted plans to convert a former Lafayette skating rink into classroom space that will meet state fire code, but the plans show no intention of installing a sprinkler system and don’t address ADA compliance. "We have provided everything the State Fire Marshal has required. We are waiting to hear back from them to be able to occupy the building,” said Greg Davis, former director of the Cajundome and Convention Center who assumed the role of chairman of the T.M. Landry board of directors in December. The school originally was planning to move in Thursday to the location on Moss Street but decided to let kids remain on Mardi Gras break through this week. "We’ve decided we are going to reopen Monday," Davis said. "We want more time to complete the move-in before students arrive."
