Broadmoor Middle Lab will be closed Wednesday, after more than a dozens students and staff suffered nausea and headaches Tuesday, prompting the evacuation of the school.
According to Caddo schools spokeswoman Mary Nash-Wood, the closure is out of an abundance of caution in order to allow for personnel to continue to perform a thorough review of the campus.
“We are thankful for the efforts of our first responders who have worked with us to ensure the campus is safe and prepared to welcome students and staff,” Wood said in a statement announcing the closure late Tuesday afternoon.
Woods said that no cause has been determined at this time, and most of the individuals transported earlier in the day have since been released from area hospitals.
