A car crashed ended in flames in Sulphur on Friday.
A Pontiac G6 crashed into the Petsense building off of Maplewood Drive at 5:25 p.m. and caught fire, according to Sulphur authorities.
Both the Sulphur Fire Department and Sulphur Police Department responded to the incident. The fire department was able to pull the car out of the building and pull out the two people inside the car. They were taken to a hospital.
Capt. Jason Gully, Sulphur Police Department spokesman, says the car was speeding westbound on Maplewood Drive. The car pulled into the Petsense parking lot, hit a Saturn Aura, then crashed into the store.
Derreck Ashworth, the driver of the Pontiac, was transported to a hospital with moderate injuries, Gully said. The passenger was also transported to a hospital with critical injuries.
