"I was asleep, then I woke up and I looked through my window and the house was on fire.”
For the third time, this home in the four-hundred block of west Johnson street went up in flames.
“It happened three times, it could happen another time.”
People say, they are now worried after all three fires were ruled as arsons.
“I’m really concerned you know about this neighborhood. I wonder who’s doing this.”
In May, the home was set on fire twice in one week. At the time, neighbors thought the criminal was done. Thursday morning, an arsonist struck again.
“It was totally involved when firefighters pulled up.”
Curt Monte with the Baton Rouge Fire Department said, they don’t see cases like this often.
“It's rare in occurrence, it does happen. The thing about arson, it happens for many reasons. It can happen for domestic issues, it can happen to cover up other crimes” said Monte.
