“Firefighters arrived on scene to find the home engulfed in flames,” according to the Baton Rouge Fire Department.
The scene of the fire was 753 Dentation Dr. and firefighters arrived around 12:45 a.m.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, “The fire is believed to have started in the dining area and rapidly spread throughout the structure before firefighters arrived.”
Firefighters quickly went to work putting the fire out with the help of seven total units, four pumpers and one ladder.
The fire was extinguished in around 45 minutes.
The home sustained $200,000 in damages and was deemed a total loss.
There are no reported injuries due to this fire.
Fire investigators are still trying to figure out what started the early morning fire.
BRPD, EMS and Entergy assisted the Baton Rouge Fire Department at the scene.
