Baton Rouge Fire Department: Arson cause of house fire

Crews with the Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to a house fire early Tuesday (Nov. 22) morning that left three people displaced. According to a spokesman with BRFD, the cause of the fire is arson. It happened in the 3200 block of Brady Street, near N. Acadian Thruway W., around 4:40 a.m. Firefighters arrived on the scene to find the house fully engulfed in flames. Crews started protecting the homes nearby as other units started to attack the fire. The owner arrived on the scene and confirmed three adults live in the home. They are all safe. No injuries were reported. The home is considered to be a total loss. Fire investigators were able to determine that the fire was intentionally set.
