VIDEO: In Ville Platte, police are investigating a shooting that happened Monday night resulting in a fire station being struck by bullets while firefighters were asleep inside. Authorities said this is not the first time the fire station has been shot at, in fact it’s happened multiple times.
This fire station was struck by bullets in a shooting Monday night. Police told News 10 this isn’t the first time it’s happened, except this time two firefighters were inside.
“There was a shooting that took place in the Gabriel Villa Apartment complex,” Sergeant Darrian Guillory with the Ville Platte Police Department said.
Officers with the Villa Platte Police Department responded to calls about a shooting Monday night; it happened on Lincoln Road just after 10 p.m. Guillory said when officers got to the scene, they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.
