New details have been released about the investigation into a large fire at the St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge.
The fire happened on the morning of Saturday, February 17, at the church on Goodwood Boulevard. The investigation has not revealed the cause of the fire. However, authorities said there is no evidence to suggest the fire was intentionally set, and no foul play is suspected.
Firefighters said they are continuing to search for the cause of the fire.
According to the Baton Rouge Fire Department, multiple agencies have been involved in the investigation so far. They include the Baton Rouge Fire Department; the Louisiana State Police Crime Lab; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives; and the St. Tammany Fire Department.
