A resident and their pet dog were injured in a fire that broke out Sunday night on Mulberry Avenue in Hagerstown. Hagerstown Fire Marshal said the resident and one of the two dogs were injured by the fire. That resident was taken to a burn center in Baltimore while the dog is being treated by the Humane Society of Washington County. The department says the fire seems to be an accident but is continuing to investigate. Fire crews were called to the fire just before 9 p.m. and remained on scene until about 2 a.m.
