At 5:01 p.m. on June 5, a house fire was reported in the 27200 block of Barton Street in the Sandgates neighborhood. It was also advised that there were several autistic children in the home but all have been pulled out of the house. First arriving units advised they had smoke showing throughout the house and fire on at least one side of the house. At this time there does not appear to be any injuries to any of the children in the home, but first responders are assessing all who were in the home. We will continue to provide updates as soon as they become available. Motorists who are bound for this area should expect delays and use alternate routes if possible.
