A Howard County family, including children and the family dog, are safe after narrowly escaping a house explosion. The overnight blast did about $300,000 in property damage. Investigators, including ATF agents, are trying to determine exactly what caused the explosion. They were back on the scene Saturday morning. In the light of day, you can see it clearly, a family home on Bushy Park Road in Woodbine destroyed. The family’s SUV is parked in the garage, torched. Rich Cohen lives next door. He described what he saw and heard. "Everybody to a house thought that a tree had fallen on their individual house. It was that loud and strong and it shook really the whole area,” said Cohen. But it was no tree. The house exploded. "It was pretty scary. We went to look out the window. As soon as we looked outside, there was an inferno next door," said Cohen.
