The Queen Anne office location of Old Wood Delaware was destroyed by fire early Saturday, Aug. 3.
Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company responded to the two-story, commercial office building at 32211 Park Avenue at 3:23 a.m. after a passerby reported the fire. Deputy Chief Kenny Hope had the command, said QA-Hillsboro VFC President Phil Starkey.
The fire, which started inside the building, seemed concentrated along the back exterior wall and an inside office upstairs, he said.
It took 60 firefighters about an hour to control the fire, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office. No injuries were reported.
The building is owned by 32211 Park Avenue LLC. It had no smoke alarm and no sprinkler system, the fire marshal’s office reported.
Damages were estimated at $275,000 to the structure and $75,000 to the contents.
