The Water Witch Volunteer Fire Company responded to a fire at the former Bainbridge naval training center early Sunday morning after a passerby discovered the fire.
A vacant, one-story dwelling at 748 Jacob Tome Highway in Port Deposit caught fire around 1 a.m. Sunday, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
About 30 firefighters were able to get the fire under control in one hour, fire officials said.
No deaths, injuries or monetary loss to the structure or its contents were reported, according to fire officials.
