The Ocean City Fire Department honored its men and women this weekend during its Awards and Recognition ceremony.
The event, held at its headquarters on Coastal Highway, welcomed a packed crowd of firefighters, paramedics and their families to honor the heroic jobs they do everyday.
The ceremony gave awards to members of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department for honors like President's Award, Member of the Year, Chief's Award, Training Award and Firefighter of the Year. Other awards included Fire/EMS Paramedic of the Year and Fire/EMS Firefighter of the Year.
The company also honored resuscitation awards and incident citations or unusual service calls that caused the firefighters and paramedics to think on their feet and save lives.
