nne Arundel County and U.S. Naval Academy firefighters were attacking a two-alarm fire in a four-unit townhouse in the Mago Vista area of Arnold Tuesday evening. Firefighters responded to the 7:08 p.m. call to find an end unit ablaze in the 500 block of Martingale Lane in a cluster of multi-story garage townhouses called Moorings on the Magothy. A second alarm was called and heavy fire was reported in one of the middle units, said Lt. Erik Kornmeyer, spokesman for the county fire department. It took 50 firefighters approximately 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. He added all occupants were safely out of the home, and that two other units have smoke and water damage.
