A Baltimore City firefighter refused treatment for a minor injury he sustained after a floor collapsed during a house fire early Tuesday morning, authorities said. The fire began around 12:45 a.m. in a home on North Janney Street in east Baltimore and crews had the fire under control by 3:00 a.m., Baltimore City Fire Spokesperson Blair Adams said. According to Adams, while crews were battling the fire, the second floor collapsed injuring one firefighter. The firefighter was okay and refused medical treatment to remain at the scene to continue fighting the fire. No other injuries were reported, Adams said. A firefighter on the scene told us that crews were still searching the home for any possible victims. No further information has been released.
