Maryland State Fire Marshals say a Wicomico County teenager has been charged with arson, after an investigation connected him to two car fires. Officials say the first fire happened just after 1 A.M. on July 15th in the driveway of a home on Elberta Avenue. The second fire happened at Loblolly Lane on July 21st just after 4:00 a.m. Firefighters responded from Salisbury Fire Department and quickly extinguished each of the blazes. Investigators determined that a person had intentionally ignited the exterior of each of the vehicles. Officials say the suspect caused nearly $5,000 worth of damage. No injuries were reported in either fire. During the course of their investigation, Deputy State Fire Marshals determined the teenager was responsible for igniting each of the fires.
