On Monday, February 10, 2020, at approximately 3:23 AM, firefighters from Mechanicsville VFD responded to the area of 35290 Golf Course Drive, Mechanicsville for the reported vehicle fire.
Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a Toyota SUV engulfed in flames. The fire was under control in less than 10 minutes.
Estimated $30,000.00 in vehicle loss.
The incident is an incendiary fire involving a Toyota SUV found burning at the dead end of Golf Course Drive in Mechanicsville. The fire completely destroyed the vehicle. A vehicle theft and a theft from vehicle were reported on the same street shortly after fire was extinguished and are believed to be related.
