VIDEO: The use of illegal fireworks is reaching a dangerous level in Maryland. Video obtained by WBAL-TV 11 News shows people in southwest Baltimore engaged in a fireworks attack.
Residents have been complaining about overnight illegal firework displays for weeks, but video has now surfaced showing people shooting fireworks at each other.
The 11 News I-Team showed the video to a number of city residents, some who said they've seen this type of activity before.
"It's just dangerous. I mean you have to make better choices," said Joseph Lewis, of Baltimore
"I don't think that's a smart thing to do. Why would you shoot somebody with a firework?" said Ilshat K, of Baltimore.
"You throw it the wrong way, it hits you in the face, you lose an eye. It can wedge into your belt, you know, you can have some serious injuries that way," said Dan Zywan, of Baltimore.
