PHOTOS: Montgomery County Fire and EMS responded to Interstate 270 for a car fire Monday afternoon. An SUV caught fire in the southbound lanes of I-270 before Shady Grove Road, officials said. When crews arrived at the scene, they had to work to extinguish an SUV that was engulfed in flames. Several lanes were blocked as crews worked to stop the fire on the roadway. Officials reported no injuries and say the lanes will reopen soon.
