A box truck crashed into a house Wednesday morning in Cecil County.
The truck careened out of control around 8:25 a.m., crashing into a house at 221 W. Main St. in Cecilton, causing extensive damage.
According to the Cecilton Volunteer Fire Co., the truck was traveling west on West Main Street when the driver had a medical emergency, hit a curb and drove right into the house.
Steve Hanifee, like many of his fellow neighbors, was just starting his day when the crash occurred.
"I just didn't know what I was going to see when I came out here. It made just the awfullest noise you ever heard in your life," Hanifee said.
"It was a boom. I mean, it shook the house," said Dominic Lucido, a neighbor who was working from home. "I went outside, and my neighbor was out and he pointed over there, and I looked and I was like, 'Holy cow.' It literally just happened."
