A Pasadena house fire displaced two adults recently and caused $400,000 in damage, county officials announced. Nobody was hurt.
Neighbors reported the blaze in the 600 block of Duvall Highway around 3:42 p.m. on Tuesday. First responders said they found flames and smoke on the southeastern side of the 1.5-story, single-family home.
A press release said the American Red Cross is helping the residents, who were not home during the fire.
Authorities are still investigating the blaze's cause and area of origin. Officials said the house did not have any working smoke detectors.
A team of 56 controlled the flames in about an hour, the release said.
The Anne Arundel County Crisis Intervention Team and the Anne Arundel County Police Department were also on the scene.
