An elderly Kimball man was slightly hurt in a Saturday garage fire. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says at 3:54 Saturday afternoon 80-year-old Maureen Imholte of rural Kimball reported her attached garage was on fire with her 84-year-old husband Ronald Imholte inside. When firefighters arrived the garage was fully engulfed, and both the Imholtes were safely evacuated. Ronald Imholte sustained minor burns. He told deputies he was working on his lawnmower, and neighbors reported hearing an explosion before noticing flames and smoke. The cause remains under investigation. He house is on the east side of Pearl Lake.
