A Sunday morning fire on 22nd Ave West left two people injured and caused $75,000 worth of damage. The Duluth Fire Department reports that two occupants were outside the house when they arrived on the scene. They were suffering from burn injuries. Fire fighters determined that there were no other occupants inside the building and successfully extinguished the fire. Both victims were treated on scene and taken by ambulance to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Hospital. There were no firefighter injuries to report. Fire companies from Lincoln Park, Downtown and Spirit Valley stations responded to this incident. The Duluth Police Department was on scene to assist in patient care and traffic control. Minnesota Power arrived to discontinue electrical service to the building.
